I woke up at 2:00 am on the 27th with contractions. When we arrived at the hospital at 4:00 I was dilated to a four. The only thing that really helped me make it through until I got my epidural at 7:00 was having the score of The Little Mermaid running through my mind. I don't really enjoy that cartoon, so I was mildly amused that the music would be running through my head at that particular moment. We pushed for two hours and Ash decided to make his debut at 11:01 am. He weighs 7 pounds 9 ounces and is 20.5 inches long.

I am just so excited for your family! Aren't you glad he is here? Finally you can feel like a normal person again! How's it all going? I can't wait to hear all about it!
Ah, thank you. These were the details I was looking for. TWO HOURS!! You are the woman. Weren't you ready to give up the ghost by about 1 hour? You get so TIRED. I'm amazed. The longest I pushed was like 1 1/2 hours and I thought I wouldn't make it there toward the end. It gets a lot easier though. That was the first, then the next two were like pushing for 30 seconds each. I do hate to hear when people don't have to push very long on their first. They have it too easy. They don't know what it's like to want to die. Just kidding. Congrats again.
Congratulations!! What a cute baby and love the name.
Congrats Trine! He is beautiful, and such a long awaited arrival!! You are going to have such fun with your new little man! Congrats again!!!
Trine-
YEAH! I am so excited for you! Your little guy is so adorable. And he shares a birthday with my little boy, Logan! I hope that you are feeling OK. Good luck on life with a newborn - It can be a little rough but it is SO worth it! The only bad thing (well...one of the bad things...) is they grow up way too fast!!! Enjoy it! Keep me posted.
Congratulations! He is a cutie. He has SO much more hair than my kids at birth. I hope all went well and you're recovering well. Keep the blog updated!
Congratulations!
Trisha
YAY! I'm so glad it went pretty well for you. It is way hard to push that long...the second WILL be better! I'm also so glad you're not pregnant anymore!:) Congrats and we will have to get together after you've recovered a bit!
Hooray!! Congratulations! Welcome baby Asher! I have been thinking about you a lot, remembering how much fun it wasn't being pregnant in HOT weather! I am so glad that he's here. He is adorable! Good work guys!
I forgot to tell you how cute we think Asher is. Good thing...you wouldn't want to be the talk of the ward. haha
congratulations trine...i'm so glad for you that you don't have to suffer anymore. Now the real fun begins. Little boys are awesome. Love his name, BTW.
Congratulations! What a cutie!
